Retro Fix Lab aims to make its evidence and limitations clear.
Hands-on testing
We test recommendations hands-on where practical. Articles describe the relevant hardware, software, conditions, and limitations when those details could change the outcome. We do not present an untested assumption as a measured result.
Sources
Hands-on observations may be supported by official manuals, manufacturer documentation, and trusted community sources. We favor primary documentation for specifications and procedures, and we identify important outside sources so readers can assess them.
Updates and corrections
We update articles when information becomes materially outdated and correct errors when we find them. Material changes should be reflected in the article’s update information when the publishing workflow supports it.
Corrections are made transparently when verified information changes.
Commercial relationships
Retro Fix Lab does not currently use affiliate links. If commercial relationships or review samples are introduced, relevant disclosures will appear before or near the affected recommendation.
